What has been the most significant change within your pharmacy over the past five years, and how has it helped you serve your patients better?
The most significant change has been moving to our new location in December 2019. We gave our new location a major renovation and added two compounding rooms, a larger pharmacy footprint for the staff, compliance packaging, and a private vaccine/consultation room for our staff and customers to use.
What is your favorite thing about being a pharmacist?
My favorite thing about being a pharmacist is that my team and I are able to make a difference in the lives of our customers.
What makes your pharmacy unique?
The Spruce Mountain Pharmacy team make our pharmacy unique. We don’t let the ordinary be our standard of practice for our pharmacy; the team consistently strives to be extraordinary. Every. Single. Day!
What do you think your patients love most about your pharmacy?
Our patients love the relationships we’ve built and continue to build with our customers and providers. These relationships help us have easy day-to-day conversations and give us a solid foundation to have the more difficult conversations with our patients.
What are your favorite ways to get involved with your community?
I personally love to help out at the community dinners. It doesn’t matter if I am cooking, serving, or cleaning; it all needs to get done, and I am glad to help. I also encourage the team to find ways to help the community. We have helped with food drives, benefit suppers, community fundraisers, chamber of commerce functions, animal shelter help, and local youth sports.
What does Locally Loved mean to you?
Locally Loved means having someone come up to you and say thank you for something you did 10+ years ago that made a difference for their family member. With one moment in time, you can make all the difference in someone’s life because you gave 100%, with no strings attached, becoming their hero. Be someone’s hero today!
