What has been the most significant change within your pharmacy over the past five years, and how has it helped you serve your patients better?
Healthcare certainly has its benefits, working with the public being the number one, but like anything else it has its challenges. We’ve had to become adaptable. There are no days off in pharmacy. We have ramped up our free delivery and shipping services, offered curbside pickup, and rapid and PCR COVID-19 testing. We have also seen a great need in the businesses and schools in our community, and we have partnered with many to offer on-site flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics. We are proud and humbled to provide comfort, support, and service to our community during these unprecedented times.
What is your favorite thing about being a pharmacist?
My favorite thing about being a pharmacist is knowing that I make a difference in the lives of my patients.
What makes your pharmacy unique?
Sweetgrass Pharmacy is unique in many ways. I think the most surprising thing that patients discover when filling with us is that we make it personal. Not only do we specialize in custom compounded medications, but we also strive to make personal connections with each one of our patients. Sweetgrass is a very special place.
What do you think your patients love most about your pharmacy?
I think our patients love coming to a pharmacy where people know their names…and also their dog’s name! I think they also enjoy shopping for gifts and our boutique homey atmosphere.
What are your favorite ways to get involved with your community?
My favorite way to get involved with my community is our yearly flu clinics. We provide hundreds of flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to local businesses and schools. It’s nice to be able to give back to my community by providing this convenient service to people in the workplace. My team and I also participate in various charities like the annual Alzheimer’s Walk.
What excites you most about the future of independent pharmacy?
The future of independent pharmacy is very exciting. I strive to make advancements in my pharmacies to make better experiences for my patients. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store.
What does Locally Loved mean to you?
Being Locally Loved to me means providing a friendly neighborhood pharmacy. The bonds that we have formed with our patients over the years are priceless. One of the greatest pleasures of my life is knowing that I have earned the respect and trust of my patients.
